Red Cedar Basketball League 2026/27 Season
East Lansing participates in the Red Cedar Basketball League, which offers a range of age groups; East Lansing typically fields teams at the 5th–8th grade level for both girls and boys, competing against teams from surrounding communities. East Lansing holds competitive tryouts to determine teams. While we try to field as many teams as possible, not all tryout attendees will be chosen to participate in the league.

Tentative Season schedule
Practice will begin sometime between the tryout and the first game at the discretion of the coach.
7th & 8th Grade Girls
The first game is in early November through the postseason tournament Mid-December.
5th & 6th Grade Girls and Boys
The first game is early December through the postseason tournament in late February. 3 week break for the holidays from Mid-December to Early January.
7th & 8th Grade Boys
The first game is early January through the postseason tournament in late February.
Cost
There is a $1,900 team fee that will be divided by the total number of players. Typically, teams have around 10 players so the approximate cost per player is $190.
