Red Cedar Basketball League 2023 Season
Red Cedar Basketball is a league for 5th – 8th grade girls and boys that compete with teams from surrounding communities. East Lansing holds competitive tryouts to determine teams. While we try to field as many teams as possible, not all tryout attendees will be chosen to participate in the league.

Season schedule
Practice will begin sometime between the tryout and the first game at the discretion of the coach.
7th & 8th Grade Girls
The first game is November 4th through the postseason tournament December 9-10th
4th, 5th, & 6th Grade Girls and Boys
The first game is December 2nd through the postseason tournament on either February 17-18th or 24-25th
7th & 8th Grade Boys
The first game is January 13th through the postseason tournament on either March 2-3rd or 9-10th
Cost
There is a $1,850 team fee that will be divided by the total number of players. Typically, teams have around 10 players so the approximate cost per player is $185.
